Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson takes power in 1951 and this is the turning point for Chabad. The whole tone of Chabad shifts after that. I did a whole video on his life and his times his efforts. I mean this is a guy who takes Chabad from this small textually focused aging Hasidic group into a lively young expanding politically charged order that is now cementing itself in the most powerful establishments in America. And in all of this expansion, all of these efforts that the Rebbe is launching to extend the power of Chabad and extend Jewish visibility in America, Rebbe would set his sights on the biggest realm of power in their mindset.
